Alexander Beznosikov will head the AI Agent Systems Center at MIPT
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) has been selected as a winner in the third wave of the national competition for artificial intelligence research centers. The university will receive a grant to conduct cutting-edge research and develop world-class, industry-oriented AI solutions, according to the university's press center.
As part of this initiative, MIPT will establish a new AI Agent Systems Center, which will be led by Alexander Beznosikov, a researcher at the institute’s AI lab. The center’s mission is to develop autonomous intelligent agents capable of efficiently performing professional-level tasks in both digital and physical environments.
“The launch of MIPT’s AI Agent Systems Center is a step toward creating a new generation of AI systems that can autonomously handle real-world tasks at a professional level. We are combining advances in generative AI, robotics, and learning algorithms to lay the groundwork for the large-scale adoption of such systems in the economy and public administration,” Beznosikov commented.
The center will focus on three core research areas:
— Robotics
— Generative Artificial Intelligence
— Learning and Optimization Algorithms
The AI Agent Systems Center will become part of MIPT’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence, launched in 2025. The Institute already brings together over 250 top engineers and is focused on developing practical, industry-driven AI solutions.
