Alexander Beznosikov Successfully Defends His Doctoral Dissertation

Laboratory researcher Alexander Nikolayevich Beznosikov has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled On advanced topics in complexity theory of numerical optimization methods: distributivity, stochasticity and generalization to broader classes of problems.

The scientific advisor of the dissertation was Alexander Gasnikov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Head of the Department of Mathematical Foundations of Control at MIPT.

The defense took place on November 6 at a meeting of the dissertation council at MIPT. The dissertation received reviews from leading experts, including laboratory member Fedor Stonyakin.

On November 7, the dissertation council approved the decision to award Alexander Beznosikov the degree of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The official conclusion is published on the MIPT website.
